How CBD changed My Life

How It All Begin

CBD has not always been in our lives and did use to use medication to treat our chronic knee pain and sciatica nerve damage that came from the knee. I didn’t always have back pain as well this has been leading up time after time with walking and working with a fake knee. We will explain how CBD changed my life and could as easily work for you.

This is hard to manage and work hard labor trying to support the family, so I had to manage this in the year, 2011, and go see a doctor receiving medication opiates. This did help me for the time being, but they didn’t ever say that it would be hard to get off of them. I think they thought I was going to take them forever, nope.

How CBD Changed My Life

Well, I have to admit that I did take them all the way up until 2015, and realized that I had been introduced to THC by my last doctor that was really trying to help me. Learning How CBD Changed My Life, not overnight.

My chronic pain was overwhelming and wanted to find a change I knew there was just didn’t know it would be CBD-THC to lead us there.

I then started to look everywhere for THC stores and at this time we lived in Colorado and there were THC and CBD shops that fit my need he told me to try it and let him know.

The next day, we went to a THC shop called Denco and got suggestions from the tender and told him what was going on with my doctor and my bum knee.

Gave us what we needed it was Sour deiseal this tasted sweet and skunky at the same time this was a Sativa so it made me energetic not tired.

At this time everyone was still against THC products and what it did to others get you HIGH.

But didn’t realize all the benefits there is to it with treating disorders such as,

  • Eating disorders/ anorexia
  • cancer/ appetite loss
  • Alzheimer’s disease/ memory loss
  • chrons disease
  • Epilepsy/seizers
  • Spasms/ muscles
  • Glaucoma/ eye vision
  • chronic pains
  • Anxiety disorders/ overwhelmed

These are all researched and been studied on buy science and with consumer’s responses to the products.

How CBD came About & Changed My Mind?

Cannabidiol (CBD) was first discovered in 1940 and was later legalized with the Farm-bill act in 2018 they did extensive research to prove it helped with anxiety issues and depression as well as epilepsy seizures. This is what drove them to legalize it through the united states of America and also other countries.

Little break down of the past, and how this all relates to the benefits that others and studies show and prove in these days it can help you with chronic pain and other conditions an individual may have.

There are now dozens of CBD and THC shops in Colorado and throughout the state, from corner to corner, and will keep booming in large quantities.

When I had my Medical Licence for the dispensary that I received from my doctor in Colorado, Denco the place that I bought products from then introduced us to the CBD products.

First, it was the flower we tried, did not like this at all, it had no taste to this and frankly did not enjoy it at all, so we told them and they showed up to vaping it.

It does have added terpenes to the mixed ingredients, but this is what gives it the flavor and taste that we want if your about taste then go with vaping.

We’ve found that vaping CBD for my condition works the best and this does depend on the place it’s from or what effects I have from vaping certain CBD’s.

All effects will differ from person to person for whatever kind of condition you may have what works for me might not for you this is why there are so many strains out there.

Strains are the different types of CBD names you hear all the time such as,

  • Secret OG
  • Sour Gummi
  • Harlequin
  • Diesel Puff
  • Frosted Kush
  • Richie Rich

These are all CBD dominant and have little traces of THC in them of course these plants will have THC that’s their make-up of the plants.

How CBD Changed My Life

If you do not have a plan and you’re still reading then we will help you overcome these challenges, we know this can be overwhelming at first and hard to believe.

I thought I was going to be taking pills for the rest of my life but I had to change that plan, to a better plan, and this plan had CBD in it.

If you’re taking opiates then please do not quit this cold turkey consult with your doctor beforehand and let him know what you’re trying to do and why?

How CBD Changed My Life

We did not quit cold-turkey that will harm your body and damage your body with these, they are more dangerous than good.

We’ve overcome pain killers by reducing our dosage every two days until I was finally off its a process to wing yourself off of something that you think is helping you. But really hurting you and getting addicted to these are the downfall and came very easily get addicted without knowing until you try to quit.

Winging yourself off properly will ensure that you will have no craving for them or your body needs these to function on a day to day basis. Yes, it takes your pain away, but it’s only temporary and can revert back to using opiates faster than you already did.

The object is to transition to CBD or THC if this is in your state check first to see if this is even an option for you, but CBD is in all states and might suit you better.

Remember this is not to cure you in any way or save your life this is simply to manage your pain at your own pace to benefit your needs and if your issues are not severe enough to be self-treated by CBD products. Then do give this a try and see why this might be for you. If your disorder goes above these then please consult a doctor and see what your options are he may have planned.

This is how CBD changed my life by believing and admitting that I need something other than opiates to manage my pain  in my day to day life of work.

  1. Great article! I wish i lived in a THC allowed state. I currently take THC Free CBD and have many testimonials myself. From my moods to join pain. I want to be able to try some good THC products and see how much more it could improve my health. I’m a firm believe in finding something natural than a drug/pharmaceutical base.

Thank you so much for really breaking all this down. VERY valuable information!

    1. Jamie,
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us and we do medicate and have relief of our pain from a good ratio of CBD and CBD but we are just doing CBD right now. We do hope that you do find relief in THC products when that time comes thanks again for stopping in and sharing your thoughts with us,

      Cheers,

  2. Hey Mathew and Deloris,

Its probably my fourth or fifth time reading an article related to CBD and I’m frankly amazed to read your experiences! The medical benefits seem to cover quite a number of problems.

Perhaps one day I would try it when I could ever have a chance to fly to the States. Thanks for sharing this! Glad to see that the CBD has worked really greatly for you.

    Cheers.

    1. Sam,
Thank you for stopping in and sharing your thoughts with us, we would like to know what part of the states you reside in, and would be great to see CBD start working its way towards you. We want to see that others are informed or the misconceptions that others say about CBD and the products there are many beneficial benefits to CBD genetics.
We would like to know what country you live in if that is okay with you.

      Cheers,
      Mathew&Deloris

  3. This is such a great article! A must-read for anyone wishing to learn about what all the hype is regarding medicinal cannabis and particularly about CBD that can significantly help with many health issues which traditional western medicine is not able to! Western medicine is all about profit and health “management” (using artificial chemical drugs), it is not about actual healing, big pharma purposefully keeps us sick in order to sell us all those drugs and to keep us on them. Thanks for the info, you did a great job!

    1. Mila,
We do agree with you, that they want to keep individuals and medication for the money they profit off of and will not change but we can inform others and show awareness about CBD. The benefits that CBD and THC hold are phenomenal and will always be shared in research and studies that individuals participate in or lab rats they get results from.
The natural ways of self-treating and healing are forgotten and are slowly being reintroduced to the public. Booming more than ever these days are filled with medication cards and prescriptions for dispensaries.

      Cheers,
      Mathew&Deloris

  4. Hey M & D,

I have read a good number of your articles and with each one I am getting more and more drawn to CBD and using it. This article is one of your best so far as it is a very personal article. To me, it is all a mindset change to CBD from negative to positive. It is getting over the stigma and the fear of using it because it is cannabis based.

I will share this article with friends and family and show them that CBD does change people’s lives for the better. I will let you know what they think if they get back to me and I will follow up with them to read it.

Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration. Keep up the great work.

    All the best,

    Tom

  5. Mathew & Deloris,

Good for you getting off pain meds. In a car accident that I was in 6 years ago, I ended up leaving with some broken ribs and the docs gave me percocets to get better. The first time I took one of these, I felt sick to my stomach and I ended up just sleeping all day after. So, I cut them up and only took 1/4 of one and that was better. Over the course of a week, I took these 1/4’s off and on to help with the pain and help me sleep. The unfortunate part of these, is they’re highly addictive. I wasn’t addicted, but I did notice weird behavior changes suddenly after only 4 days. I spoke with a friend about it, and he asked if I was taking pain meds from the accident. I told him yes. He told me that I was starting down the path of addiction and should stop taking them right away.

So, I stopped. It wasn’t hard, I’ve never been an addictive person, but I know a lot of people that can’t stop taking them once they start. Everytime I go to the doc, they always ask if I need a refill too. I always politely decline, stating that I still have the whole bottle they gave me!

CBD is a much better pain solution. Marijuana too. I’m all for anything that isn’t addictive, nor does it have some serious consequences on people’s health. The worst you’ll get is being hungry and sleepy. That’s about it.

Thanks for sharing this! Loved it!

    Katrina

    1. Katrina,
Well, thank you for stopping in and sharing your thoughts with us and letting us know your story if this world had better solutions than these dang pills, such as cannabidiol CBD. These self-treatments do help us and do take the swelling away when we have hard days at work or even just sitting for hours in the car.
Traveling back and forth is stressful and will need to make more time to show others there are better alternatives to using opiates there is a natural Sativa plant CBD.
Thanks again for sharing your story with us and we are glad to see that you use other alternatives than pills and addiction.

      Cheers,
      Mathew&Deloris
